As soil nditions deteriorate, ntinue to use crane outrigger pads to create a larger footprint. After the equipment is installed and leveled, or within the manufacturer's slope tolerance, and the crane stabiliser pads are deployed, perform a dry run on the boom. Use an observer to ensure that the crane outrigger pads will not move, slide, or sink into the ground. Then check if the equipment is still level or within the rating. If you find any proble, stop and put away the boom. Pay attention to the surrounding environment and safety when using outrigger pads.
